We purchased this bed and received it within 2 wks which was not bad. The package came all tore up and we were hoping nothing would be broken inside. The bed is ok, once assembled it's sturdy enough for a rough toddler. There were a few pieces of wood that were slightly cracked and several places where the paint was chipped. One piece of wood did not have the holes it needed it get assembled so my husband had to do that himself.
The word SOLID cannot be associated with Dream On Me. I purchase this toddler bed from Baby's R uS and hated it from day one. I tried to like but as I was putting it together it just felt flimsy and later I would find out how dangerous it would become. I almost cracked a rib kissing my little one good night on his first night transitioning from the crib to this bed as the footboard snapped off and the remaining jagged edge meeting my rib cage. A very traumatizing event for my sons first night on his new bed. Till this day, he keeps reminding us of "daddy's booboo" because after many tries to get the foot board replaced, the pieces just don't align at all. Thus we still have that jagged edge (TRUE STORY). UPDATE: 8 months later the side rail has cracked. Going to try the P'kolino Toddler Bed and Chair, White which it states can support up to 300LBS but even if it doesn't it has really great review on AMAZON with regards to its SOLIDNESS.UPDATE 01.30.2012:My little boy is now almost 5 years old and his P'kolino Toddler Bed and Chair, White is still SOLID as a rock. Within this time we had another boy and when it was time to purchase his big boy bed, we purchased yet again the P'kolino Toddler Bed and Chair, White. It was a no brainer. I took a picture that I'll have to post of me @275 LBS, my oldest son @52 LBS and my youngest @41 LBS all laying/sitting on the new P'kolino Toddler Bed and Chair, White. I bought this bed for our daughter. The bed was very easy to assemble, the drawer caused a bit more trouble. But all in all it only took about 40 minutes to assemble. My daughter was really excited about her new big girl bed and it seems really sturdy. The drawer was a different color and there was pencil writing on it (not sure why - other than that it seems brand new.) Overall im pleased with this purchase. Also, I watched the price for it and was able to get the natural color for about $66.00! Oh and LOVE the sleigh bed look - so cute in her room!
My 2 1/2-year-old absolutely loves this bed. I ordered this when it was on back-order and it took several weeks to ship. It was fairly easy to assemble. There were a few nicks in the wood when it arrived, but in overall good shape. My only complaint about this bed is the drawer... it is too tight against the bed and makes it difficult to open and close. Once it's open it slides smoothly. Maybe that's a good thing though so my toddler won't be tempted to constantly open it and mess up everything inside!
Our son loves his bed. It was easy to assemble.When it arrived our son "helped" with assembling and transitioned from crib to bed without any tears. He slept in it from day 1.The storage drawer is very shallow and can only hold a very thin blanket or sheets.The quality seems very high. There is one spot where the blue paint peeled just a bit.
This toddler bed is very good for the price. The instructions were a little confusing, but overall, assembly was great. Our only complaint is that the storage drawer sticks a little and does not easily slide in and out.
I purchased this bed for my 2.5 year old boy. I was excited that it arrived so quickly. This bed was also super easy to install and I did it by myself in a little under an hour.The reason I am so disappointed in this bed is because as my son climbed into it for his first nap all the while smiling and stating "my new bed" it broke from underneath him. The pieces that hold the matress on the bed are so flimsy that it broke under a second of weight from a toddler who could not weigh any more than 30 pounds.
This is our second bed by this manufacturer. Dream on Me beds are well made very durable and we love the underneath storage for extra bedding and blankets. We purchased the daybed with underneath storage and needed a second for our younger daughter. Our girls share a room and love switching beds. They fit any standard crib matress and bedding. Highly recommend!
Great bed - great price!! The wood is solid, I did see the big yellow sticker others customers are talking about, I just left it. I love the drawer feature, gives the bed a nicer look and of course great for storing extra blankets.
we ordered it to be black and instead we got pink.. completely the wrong color.. but the company is lucky its for my little girl. but i was hoping for a black one so when my second kid is born, and if a boy- black would go better when i handed it off to the younger one. so i suggest to make sure to leave a note to the people in the warehouse that delivery these beds to CHECK THE ORDER TWICE!
