I'll start by saying it's not an easy task adjusting the legs. The table came with a little paper that displays pictures of table positions and the angles for the little push button locks which is nice. I have an oversize desktop replacement type of laptop and find the "backward spider legs" position, (angles 135,30,110) a nice setup. Once you find a decent setup, STICK WITH IT. Adjusting the legs are just too troublesome. That said, although there is just enough space for my 17 inch laptop this table is really meant for 15in or preferably 12in and below size laptops. I use my table while I'm sitting in bed and there has been several times where I just trying to get comfortable and I send my laptop and table toppling over the side of the bed. I even broke a USB port that way.Although the advertisement claims it's "multifuctional" I tried using it as a food tray, a drawing board and a writing table with disastrous results. For the moment, I use it sparingly to save my back when at the computer.
Finally, I found something that allows me to work on a laptop while maintaining proper posture. I spend long hours in front of a laptop. So this product has been a God-send, having drastically reduced neck and back problems. The laptop table is easy to use, lightweight, and easy to carry.
Was a little apprehensive before purchasing this item, but I am very satisfied. Yes it could be sturdier, but it is well made and we use it all the time. The wide range of positions is extremely helpful and the rubber grip and fan (which is very quiet) are great as well. Extremely portable and I have no complaints after 6 months of use and not a single issue (use it with both 17.3 and 15.6 in laptops)
Great concept - bought it for my husband because he likes to use his laptop while lying down. Very disappointed that the fan does not work. The construction is also a bit flimsy. Think twice before you buy this.
I've been using this for about a week now and so far I'm pretty happy with it. The discount offered if I opened and used an Amazon charge card went a long way to convince me to take a gamble on it since there were no reviews and it wasn't cheap. I would have preferred the shelf that the computer sits on to be a bit deeper -- it is 9.5" and my laptop is 10" so the end of it hangs off the shelf a bit, and as that is the end where the monitor is it makes me a little nervous.The hinges have dials with the angles printed on them and the instructions include different configurations w/ angles provided, which was helpful for me to find stable configurations. The dials lock in at preset positions so you cannot necessarily choose any precise angle you might desire but they are close enough that it hasn't been a problem for me.I've used it to work from in a recliner and in bed and have set it up on the floor as a movie viewing stand. The latter position was somewhat flimsy and I wouldn't have used it if there were children or pets I was worried about knocking into it, but it was fine for a completely still room.The computer stays cooler on the vented stand than it would on a regular table but the fan works great, too. All in all I'm happy with the product and glad to have something to get the laptop off my lap with that is relatively ergonomic.
